PRISSY EVENTS

Prissy Events was founded in 2000, the year after I was married. I knew very little about planning a wedding, although I had attended and had been a part of so many. Perhaps naively I thought, how hard can this be? OOOH BOY, someone should have warned me!

I purchased every wedding publication I could find (especially those from Europe) and quickly found myself consumed by telephone book-sized magazines weighing in at almost 10 pounds apiece. My library grew quickly although the surface space of my living room floor and dining room table began to disappear. I needed help in managing this process but couldn't afford to hire a wedding planner; so my fiance became my assistant. FYI, he was a willing accomplice.

I accepted the task at hand without becoming a "bridezilla", taking each component one at a time and FOCUSING: eating, sleeping and breathing wedding ideas. As our big day approached, I saw my ideas taking shape. On our wedding day, I was in awe seeing my creativity having come to life. Guests complimented me on how "dainty" and "prissy" everything was nothing was out of place. At Prissy Events my driving goal is to have each bride see, feel and touch every moment of her special day just as I had.

With all the planning behind me and the wedding day over, fresh ideas were still being conceived and I knew I needed to start a business.  I realized something in me was longing to purchase a bridal publication, visit a florist, attend a fitting and make someone else's dream a reality, just as I had done mine. I was feeling the birth of a lifelong passion.

Also a part of the Prissy team is event coordinator, L. Nicole Nyack. Most known for her set designs and fashion shows at Penn State University, L. Nicole makes this team a dynamic duo!
